The Apostle Peter (AKA Simon Peter) was the son of Zebedee and Salome and the brother of James, another of the Twelve Apostles. Simon was called "Rock" (Peter) by Jesus. Peter was the leader of the apostles, after Jesus' ascension. Peter was a married fisherman who worked with his brother Andrew in Capernaum, fishing in the Sea of Galilee.
