The New Testament
In the Christian religion the New Testament refers to the books that form the Scriptures of the Christian Church. The New Testament records the life of Jesus Christ. The New Testament is the second half of the Christian Bible. It describes the life and teachings of Jesus Christ, as well as other Christian teachings. The New Testament is the last 27 books of the 66 books of the Bible. The New Testament has 7,959 verses and the number of words in the New Testament total 181,253. The New Testament begins with the Book of Matthew and ends with the Book of Revelation. The New Testament was originally written in Greek. The New Testament consists of a collection of books of the Gospels, Acts of the Apostles, the Pauline and other epistles and Revelation. The Books of the New Testament were composed soon after the death of Jesus Christ.
